"This study aimed to present the potential of Agave sisalana products, focusing on economic profitability and taking advantage of new commercial opportunities to increase the value of the sisal chain. Through research on academic platforms, this literature review collected numerous studies and organized them into four categories: health; energy; agrobusiness and materials. In each category, a brief economic analysis was made of the main results of the selected studies. In addition, new and valuable uses for sisal fiber and its residues were identified, encouraging technological and socio-economic development of sisal cultivation."
