Analysis of information design for collaborative support in Virtual Learning Environments

Collaborative supports were adapted for teaching may become important and powerful tools in this area. The use of these resources has become important for teachers because of their collaborative features which is based on the sharing of ideas in the virtual environment. The interaction of these supports to teachers and students must pass the interfaces that serve as mediators. Therefore, the interface of these systems should establish a friendly and intuitive relationship with the user. In this context there is as problematic: how do to facilitate the use of collaborative tools through information design? This article aims to propose recommendations for the design information for collaborative supports commonly used in VLEs. For this method has been divided into two stages: the first step: setting the collaboration tools used in VLE and the second step: analyzing tool in accordance with the principles of design information. As a result it was found that: with respect to the functional principles in all of the tools you can work with the concepts of structure, clarity, simplicity, focus and drive. The principles the administrative cost criterion can be discarded due to non-applicability, already assured quality and ethics of information are inextricably linked to the selected tools.
