"Obtaining recycled aluminum from aluminum cans results in major energysavings compared to the production of primary aluminum. The recycling process isrelatively simple and can be carried out by small companies or recyclingcooperatives, but it is necessary to carry out analyses to optimize the yield andensure the lowest possible consumption of the recycled material. The purpose of thisarticle is to study the consumption and yield of the process of casting aluminum cansin an electric furnace, analyzing the influence of preheating the crucible on a smallscale."
