Design with more-than-humans: speculative prototyping on everyday relationships between humans and animals

O presente artigo faz parte do desenvolvimento do projeto de iniciação científica (XXX), realizado no departamento de XXXX da XXXX. Nesta pesquisa, propomos uma reflexão sobre a prática de um design com mais-que-humanos: plantas, animais, rochas, rios, entre outros (AKAMA, LIGHT E TAKAHITO, 2020), através da construção de diferentes protótipos especulativos que explorassem a relação entre humanos e aves urbanas. No meio da pandemia da Covid-19, colocar o corpo intencionalmente em contato com outros animais permitiu entender como a experiência com protótipos especulativos pode servir de gatilho para repensar a prática de um design menos antropocêntrico. No decorrer do artigo, discutiremos quatro autores que propõem uma relação mais heterárquica com os mais-que-humanos, entrelaçando-os com o design especulativo. Em seguida, apresentaremos a experiência da construção dos protótipos especulativos e seus resultados, finalizando com as considerações e reflexões de um design com mais-que-humanos.

This article is part of the development of the scientific initiation project, carried out in the XXXX department of XXXXX. The research reflected on the practice of a design with more-than-humans: plants, animais, among others (AKAMA, LIGHT AND TAKAH, 2020), through the construction of different speculative prototypes that explore the relationship between humans and urban birds . In the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic, putting our bodies intentionally in touch with other animals allowed us to understand how the speculative prototyping experience can be a trigger to rethink design in a more non anthropocentric approach. In the course of the article, we bring 4 authors that have a more heterarchical relationship with the more-than-humans, intertwining them with speculative design. In, we present the experience of the construction of consecutive and speculative photos and their results, ending with the results and considerations of a design with more-than-humans.
