"Oil and natural gas reservoirs and salt caverns have been considered as aviable option for large-scale storage of gases, helping to mitigate problems related tothe intermittency of renewable energy sources. This study presents five studies of fluidfluid and rock-fluid interactions useful for geological storage of H2 and CO2 gases, sinceboth locations may have different types of rock, as well as other fluids already stored, impacting the efficiency of gas storage. As this is a topic that has not yet been explored,a survey was carried out in the literature of experimental studies that could assist inthe development of strategies for the geological storage of H2 and CO2. The resultsindicate that studies such as gas-brine interfacial tension, adsorption and diffusivitybetween gases and rock, beyond the solubility and salinity of gases in brine arerelevant geochemical interactions for the large-scale storage of H2 and CO2."
