Identidade Visuais (IDVs) são fundamentais para a representação de organizações contemporâneas, porém, em Coletivos Autogestionários (CAs), os métodos mais conhecidos para o projeto desse tipo de sistema não são adequados, pois não fortalecem a autonomia projetual necessária. Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo repensar o projeto de IDVs, a partir da descrição e teorização de projetos de IDVs livremente desenvolvidas por CAs em uma plataforma digital. Para descrever esse processo de apropriação, foi conduzida uma etnografia infraestrutural combinada com netnografia na plataforma digital, que destacou três casos de projeto de IDVs livres. Os resultados desta pesquisa enfatizam o papel do metadesign e da ação infraestruturante (infrastructuring) para lidar com os desafios da participação, identificação e continuidade implicados em projetos de IDVs livres.

Visual identities are foundational for the representation of contemporary organizations, yet in self-managed collectives, the popular methods and systems for the design of visual identities are not suitable, since they do not provide the necessary design autonomy. This research aims to rethink the design visual identities from the description and theorization of such projects freely developed by self-managed collectives in a digital platform. In order to describe this process of appropriation, an infrastructural ethnography combined with netnography was conducted on the digital platform, which highlighted three cases of liberating visual identities. The results of this research enhance the role of metadesign and infrastructuring in addressing the challenges of participation, identification and continuity implied in liberating visual identities.
