INTERACTION BETWEEN DOMESTIC LAUNDRY WASTEWATER SURFACTANTS AND NANOFILTRATION MEMBRANES

NUNES, R. F ; KRONEMBERGER, F. A ; FERRAZ, H. C ; , ;

Oral:

Little advance has been achieved on the evaluation of the appropriate treatment for the effluent of laundering processes. Its complexity and variability in terms of quality parameters renders great importance to the development of alternative treatment processes. Nanofiltration is a good alternative, but the evaluation of the interaction between the surfactants present in the wastewater and the membrane surface is extremely important. The present work aims to evaluate those interactions effects on the transport and separation performance of the selected membranes.
