Interfaces and Information Design analysis on the drug administration for autonomous elders

The aim of this research is to analyses the context of autonomous elders in the periodic administration of drugs, observing its planning. For further analysis, tasks were proposed along with two artifacts for pill administration, dosages, capsules and tablets, still observing the restrictions, difficulties and easiness of its use. In these terms, the research deals the ergonomic aspects and the usability of the artifacts that offer the orienting function the user on the daily administration of the drugs. Five elder autonomous users participated of the query, all of them selected by a instrument developed from the query adaptation – Brazilian OARS Multidimensional Funcional Assessment Questionary – BOMFAQ, destined to the identification of the autonomy of elder individuals. From the application of the background query, contextual analyses, cooperative evaluation and satisfaction query, after the tasks, apllied to the subjetc of this research, we realized that the pacients, even though carrying cognitive limitations, do not take helping resources for use of medicines, such as alarms, for instance. They do all sorts of adaptations in order to suplly the lack of resources thought for the autonomous elders context yet not available in the market. It has been noticed that it is necessary a properly organized drug system that helps the elders a broader control and easier access during the drug administration.
