LIGNOCELLULOSIC BIOMASS PYROLYSIS: COMMERCIAL TECHNOLOGIES FOR BIOCHAR PRODUCTION

LIGNOCELLULOSIC BIOMASS PYROLYSIS: COMMERCIAL TECHNOLOGIES FOR BIOCHAR PRODUCTION

Araujo, Emile dos Santos ; Pereira, Luis Gabriel Gomes ; Silva, Roberto Batista da ; Oliveira, Otanea Brito de ; Almeida, Daniel Freire ; Pessoa, Fernando Luiz Pellegrini ;

Completo:

"The growing concern over climate change caused by the greenhouse effect has boosted the study of renewable energy sources. Agricultural and forestry residues stand out due to their energy capacity. Biochar, produced through biomass pyrolysis, exhibits a high decarbonization potential. Seeking at contributing to the maturity and improvement of existing pyrolysis technologies, this work aims to gather information available in the literature on commercial biochar production units. Although many technologies have been developed in recent years, collaboration among researchers, industries, and government is essential for pyrolysis products to gain market space."
