"With the increasing use of biomass residue in thermoconversion processes such as pyrolysis, the valorization of the resultant products is essential for ensuring their viability and utilization within the chemical industry. There is a gap in the literature regarding technologies for upgrading the gas phases from pyrolysis, especially in relation to new biomass types and lignocellulosic residue. This study offers a concise overview of recent methodologies for enhancing gas streams in pyrolysis, assessing technical parameters, process types, and the most frequently used biomasses in systems designed to improve the valorization of pyrolysis gas and contaminant removal."
