Mild Protocol for the Synthesis of Functionalized Anilines from Potassium Aryltrifluoroborates

Abstract:
The aromatic C-N bond formation is of immense interest because aromatic amines and their derivatives are common in pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, dyes, herbicides, and conducting polymers. Traditionally, the preparation of these amines has been performed by the reductive amination of aniline derivatives or aryl nitration/reduction sequences, which suffer from a lack of tolerance towards functional groups. The organotrifluoroborates can be conveniently converted into different functional groups in a variety of ways. In this context, the search of simple methods that can convert this compounds into its corresponding amine derivatives are of the great interest.
