NEUROURBANISMO APLICADO ÀS CIDADES LONGEVAS: PROPOSIÇÕES PARA AMBIENTES ENRIQUECIDOS EM PROL DO ENVELHECIMENTO SAUDÁVEL

ALBUQUERQUE, Ciro Férrer Herbster ; SANTIAGO, Zilsa Maria Pinto ;

ARTIGO COMPLETO:

ARTIGO COMPLETO:

The article analyzes the relationship between neurourbanism and the concept of age-friendly cities, using neuroscience principles to promote healthy aging. It explores how enriched environments can improve cognitive reserve and neuroplasticity, essential for active aging. The implementation of these concepts in urban planning faces obstacles due to the complex biopsychosocial factors that affect aging. Through an interdisciplinary exploratory study, the objective is to articulate the knowledge of neuroscience and gerontology with urban planning, in order to propose redirections responsive to longevity based on evidence that promote healthy and qualitative aging of the elderly population.
