CONGIC:

A orientação espacial em hospitais é uma tarefa que exige um grande esforço cognitivo, é influenciada pelo estado emocional dos usuários, podendo ser agravada por informações desatualizadas e pela complexidade da arquitetura. Esse trabalho visa entender a estrutura física e funcional de um hospital universitário a partir do uso do método de coleta de dados Wayfinding Information Behavior. Para tanto, realizou-se o planejamento da coleta, seguido do estudo do sistema, o qual contou com uma pesquisa documental, entrevistas com informantes-chave e observação não participante. Foram então mapeados os fluxos dos usuários na utilização dos serviços, compreendendo a organização estrutural e identificados potenciais pontos críticos no processo de wayfinding. Além da falha na sinalização foram identificados problemas relacionados às fontes de informação e fluxos dos serviços. Os resultados serão utilizados como parte dos requisitos para o redesign do sistema de wayfinding do Hospital estudado.

Spatial orientation in hospitals is a task that requires a great cognitive effort, is influenced by the emotional state of the users, and can be aggravated by outdated information and by the complexity of the architecture. This work aims to understand the physical and functional structure of a university hospital using the Wayfinding Information Behavior data collection method. To this end, the collection planning was carried out, followed by the study of the system, which included a documental research, interviews with key-informants, and non-participant observation. The user flows in using the services were then mapped, comprehending the structural organization and identifying potential critical points in the wayfinding process. In addition to the lack of signage, problems related to the sources of information and flows of the services were identified. The results will be used as part of the requirements for the redesign of the wayfinding system of the studied hospital.
