The impact of industry 4.0 on quality and how enabling technologies benefit operation

A utilização de tecnologias da Indústria 4.0 é considerada como uma estratégia para tornar os processos mais eficientes e alcançar a máxima qualidade nos produtos. O conceito de gestão da qualidade total baseia-se no cumprimento dos requisitos de qualidade em todos os processos e setores da empresa na busca pela satisfação das necessidades dos clientes com rapidez e precisão através da contribuição das tecnologias. Nesse contexto de digitalização e busca pela excelência produtiva, este artigo apresenta um estudo do impacto da Indústria 4.0 na qualidade e como as tecnologias habilitadoras beneficiam os processos. Foi utilizado como metodologia uma revisão sistemática da literatura, e foram analisados 24 artigos que foram escritos entre os anos de 2013 e 2022. Como resultado das análises é possível concluir que os impactos da indústria 4.0 no gerenciamento da qualidade são positivos, tecnologias como blockchain, navegação autônoma, automação colaborativa, internet das coisas, inteligência artificial, big data e analytics, sistemas integrados e computação em nuvem trazem benefícios aos processos relacionados ao ganho de produtividade, programas de produção flexíveis e customizados e redução de custos de retrabalhos.

The use of Industry 4.0 technologies is considered a strategy to make processes more efficient and achieve maximum product quality. The concept of total quality management is based on fulfilling quality requirements in all processes and sectors of the company in the quest to satisfy customer needs quickly and accurately through the contribution of technologies. In this context of digitization and the search for productive excellence, this article presents a study of the impact of Industry 4.0 on quality and how enabling technologies benefit production processes. A systematic literature review was used as methodology, and 24 articles were analyzed that were written between the years 2013 and 2022. As a result of the analyzes it is possible to conclude that the impacts of industry 4.0 on quality management are positive, technologies such as blockchain, autonomous navigation, collaborative automation, internet of things, artificial intelligence, big data and analytics, integrated systems and cloud computing bring benefits to production processes related to productivity gains, flexible and customized production programs and reduction of rework costs.
