O IMPACTO DA SOMBRA NA PERCEPÇÃO DA ARQUITETURA: UMA REVISÃO SISTEMÁTICA DA LITERATURA

Esta revisão sistemática da literatura é uma pesquisa exploratória de abordagem qualitativa realizada como parte do processo de pesquisa de Mestrado deste autor. O objetivo foi reunir, analisar e interpretar artigos para estruturar uma base teórica acerca dos fatores que condicionam nossa percepção da sombra nas edificações e de como a sombra pode impactar nossa experiência arquitetônica. Os resultados apontaram que nossa percepção da sombra está associada ao nosso background cultural e às conotações morais associadas à metáfora de sombra. Constatou-se também que as formas de manipulação da sombra na arquitetura geram repercussões em nossos sentimentos e comportamentos.

This systematic literature review is an exploratory research with a qualitative approach carried out as part of this author's Master's research process. The objective was to gather, analyze and interpret papers to structure a theoretical basis about the factors that condition our perception of shadow in buildings and how shadow can impact our architectural experience. The results showed that our perception of the shadow is associated with our cultural background and the moral connotations associated with the shadow metaphor. It was also found that the ways in which shadows are manipulated in architecture generate repercussions on our feelings and behaviors.
