O TEMPO NO DESIGN PARTICIPATIVO

O tempo é um elemento determinante para o desenvolvimento do projeto de Design, cujo gerenciamento pode favorecer ou dificultar seu êxito. A sua relevância aumenta no caso de projetos criativos participativos que visam à Inovação Social. No presente artigo discorre-se sobre o tempo do Design Participativo e apresentam-se alguns elementos temporais a serem considerados no desenvolvimento dos projetos. Um projeto participativo de Design desenvolvido pelos autores e algumas entrevistas com designers profissionais com experiências de atuação nesta área permitiram constatar a necessidade de uma diferente organização temporal dos projetos. Trata-se dos resultados de uma pesquisa de doutorado que visa potenciar a contribuição do Design no âmbito social.

Time is key element of Design projects development whose management may foster or hinder its success. Its relevance grows with creative participatory projects aiming at Social Innovation. This paper discusses the time of Participatory Design and presents some elements that must be considered in project development. A participatory Design project developed by the authors and some interviews with professional designers with experience in this specific area showed the need of a different time organization of projects. These are the results of a PhD research aiming at enhance the social contribution of Design.
