This article discuss in which terms design, distribution and production processes have changed after the great technological revolution in a post-industrial era in order to become more democratic and easily shared. After a brief analysis of the economic impact brought by this digital revolution, the article presents newly design values and production environments that emerged from it. We focus in the Open Design movement to show how its process introduce new ways to create and produce architecture. The main idea is to enlighten and explain how Open Design enhances innovation and foster a new democratic practice based on freedom, collaboration and experimentation.
