Full Article:

"The pretreatment of Agave sp. is a crucial step in the process for producing2G ethanol and encompasses a variety of methods. In this review, a bibliometricevaluation was conducted using the Web of Science databases and the VOSviewersoftware, where different pretreatments of Agave were assessed. The results indicatea growing interest in more sustainable methods, such as the use of ionic liquids, microwaves, ultrasound, and autohydrolysis. These methods represent a promisingalternative to traditional processes that use acids, bases, and organic solvents, offeringa simple, environmentally friendly, and efficient pretreatment option to producebiofuels."
