Completo:

The digital twin stands out in the context of industry 4.0 for its benefits and market perspectives, even though it is a new and evolving technology. Therefore, the present study aims to investigate academic productions related to the digital twin theme associated with the evolution of industry 4.0. For this, the bibliometric review technique was used with the help of the free software Bibliometrix, searching in the Scopus, Web of Science and Dimension databases, with publications from 2002 to 2024. The main results pointed out “Industry 4.0, Digital Twin, industries manufacturing” as the most frequent keywords and those that are most related in publications, in addition to the period from 2022 to 2023 and Germany, the years and the country, with the highest volume of publication.
