"The present article analyzes solid waste management in a mining companylocated in Feira de Santana, Bahia, through a case study. The research adopted anexploratory-descriptive approach and included the application of a questionnaire to themanagers responsible for the company's waste management, covering two mainstages: the analysis of waste management and the description of the benefits ofefficient management. The results identified the main waste generated by thecompany, where current management practices involve the classification andtemporary storage of this waste. Although the company does not have facilities forinternal treatment or recycling, it outsources these activities to ensure compliance withregulations and minimize environmental risks."
