SOLVENT-FREE DISPERSION METHODS FOR GRAPHENE-POLYESTER COMPOSITES PRODUCTION: A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW OF PATENTS

SOLVENT-FREE DISPERSION METHODS FOR GRAPHENE-POLYESTER COMPOSITES PRODUCTION: A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW OF PATENTS

Leal, Débora Abrantes ; Oliveira, Vinícius ; Correia, Paulo ; Kerche, Eduardo ; Polkowski, Rodrigo ;

Completo:

"The great challenge of producing polymeric nanocomposites is to effectively disperse the nanomaterial filler in the polymeric matrix due to the high trend of nanomaterials to agglomerate. Reaching improved properties, particularly the mechanical properties, depends on the good dispersion of the filler and the good interaction between the polymer and the nanomaterial. The interest in graphene-based nanocomposites has increased recently due to the excellent thermal, electrical, and mechanical properties achieved for different applications. Then, this systematic review of patents aimed to investigate the main solvent-free methods used for mixing graphene in polyester matrices in order to obtain good dispersion and interface interaction and, consequently, good properties transference from filler to polymer."
