Completo:
Clean energy production is growing globally, driven by zero-carbon and sustainability policies adopted by companies and governments. The wind industry stands out, with blades made of fiber-reinforced polymer matrix. The rapid processing of this composite increases productivity and offers competitive advantages. This work aims to present the rapid processing of polymer composites, consisting of polyester resin, reinforced by glass fibers through the use of laser CNC. Laser parameters were sought so that cutting can be performed without burrs or reprocessing. The study demonstrated that CO₂ laser cutting is feasible, but resulted in high degradation of the material, which proved to be the greatest challenge.
