"Diesel oil, a vital fuel for transportation in general, faces price challengesand environmental pollution, driving research into alternatives such as biodiesel,produced from macaúba oil, a Brazilian crop. This study aims to investigate thefeasibility, focusing on acid transesterification applied to macaúba crops. The researchwas based on a bibliographical review, using scientific and academic articles tounderstand biodiesel production methods and the viability of macaúba as a rawmaterial. The selected studies provided information on the acid transesterificationprocess and its advantages over other methods, analyzing its productive aspects andphysicochemical parameters."
