"The synergistic operation of different energy sources has been increasinglystudied. Studies indicate that this mode of operation offers a greater economic returnfor the enterprise. This article analyzes the complementarity of wind and solarresources in a region of Brazil, as well as the association between a wind and solarplant, aiming to optimize resource utilization and share common costs. Through energysimulations and evaluation of different power scenarios, it was possible to size anassociated solar plant, resulting in a lower energy cost compared to the exclusiveoperation of the wind plant. Additional studies can be conducted to design an energystorage system that operates in conjunction with the wind and solar plants"
