A discussão de transformação digital, muito presente nos últimos anos, possui cada vez mais relevância em várias áreas de pesquisa, como economia, gestão e tecnologia. Ao mesmo tempo, o uso de técnicas bibliométricas tem sido frequente no auxílio ao entendimento de novas temáticas, auxiliando inclusive na identificação de tendências de pesquisas futuras. Assim, o objetivo deste artigo é identificar, por meio de uma análise bibliométrica de artigos indexados na base de dados Web of Science, os aspectos relevantes na produção científica na área de transformação digital e definir as tendências para as principais áreas de pesquisa relacionadas ao tema. Além da confirmação de que os métodos estatísticos utilizados na bibliometria podem gerar evidências relevantes, também foi possível medir a produtividade de autores e editoras, facilitando possíveis revisões da literatura futuras, bem como, definir tendências para as principais áreas de pesquisa apontadas, sendo elas: economia e negócios, ciência da computação, engenharia, ciência & tecnologia e educação.

The discussion of digital transformation, very present in recent years, is increasingly relevant in several areas of research, such as economics, management and technology. At the same time, the use of bibliometric techniques has been frequent in helping to understand new themes, even helping to identify trends in future research. Thus, the objective of this article is to identify, through a bibliometric analysis of articles indexed in the Web of Science database, the relevant aspects in scientific production in ​​digital transformation area and to define trends for the main areas of research related to the topic. In addition to confirming that the statistical methods used in bibliometrics can generate relevant evidence, it was also possible to measure the productivity of authors and publishers, facilitating possible future literature reviews, as well as defining trends for the main research areas pointed: economics and business, science computing, engineering, science & technology and education.
