THE APPLICATION OF TITANIUM DIOXIDE IN ECO-FRIENDLY CONCRETE

"Titanium dioxide is a photocatalytic material that has been widely exploreddue to its ability to degrade atmospheric pollutants in the matrix where it is inserted.This study was developed to analyze the effect of titanium dioxide on concrete, in orderto understand its influence on compressive strength. To prepare this article, thequalitative method was used, through bibliographic review and experimental tests. Theresults indicate that titanium dioxide had a superior performance in compressivestrength when administered in an amount of 0.5% in relation to the cement mass. Itwas concluded that titanium dioxide is beneficial under specific doses, helping toimprove the mechanical properties of concrete, as well as its workability."
