THE IMPORTANCE OF COMBUSTION AND BIOFUELS IN THE INTERNAL ENERGY SUPPLY IN BRAZIL

"This work aimed to analyze the importance of combustion and fuels in theBrazilian Energy Matrix and their real participation in the Total Energy Supply – TES.We used the literature review as a working method. The results showed that theimportance of combustion and fuels is not properly valued, since they make up 83% ofthe TES and supply 99% of the energy that moves the transport sector and 80% of theenergy that moves the national industry, two energy-intensive sectors that, together,are responsible for 65% of the country's energy consumption. The energy transitionwill not be so fast nor will it abandon fuels and the opportunity we have is to value andintensify the use of biofuels, seeking new biomasses more adapted to the climaticconditions of the caatinga, for example."
