"The objective of this study is to valorize of the defatted flour and oil from Moringa oleifera Lam. seeds for application in biodegradable films for fruit coating. The Moringa oleifera oil was extracted, and the fatty acids (87.5% oleic acid) and proteins (39%) were quantified. The film was prepared in without and with the oil and subjected to characterization in terms of thickness (260 μm and 290 μm, respectively) and moisture content (28% and 24%, respectively). The findings indicate that the oil film may exhibit enhanced resistance and reduced hydrophobicity. The biodegradability test substantiated that the film is biodegradable. In conclusion, applying the film to papayas proved to be effective, highlighting the potential of using Moringa oleifera seeds in biodegradable films for fruit preservation."
