This article presents methodology used for the analysis of letterings commonly used in the magazine Vida Capichaba, especially in its early years (1923 to 1931). It was found necessary to build a data collection form, which was based on the typeface crossed classification system of Catherine Dixon. We also present analysis of the origins, form and patterns of the typography.
