Museums in São Paulo: from the physical location to the graphic mark

Based on the analysis of four graphic marks of São Paulo’s museums, it is noticed through the figurative component the way each institution represents itself, both as continent and content, and also in relation to the city that contains it. Therefore, through the semiotic theory perspective, there is a process that gradually goes from one end to the other, from the iconic to the abstract, and constitutes a system from these museum’s graphic marks.
